He worked for many years at the network ESPN. He was a regular face on the show SportsCenter. Scott was very special because he mixed hip-hop culture into his sports reporting. This style was very new for television at that time. He spoke in a way that felt like a fan at home. This helped him connect with many young people watching the games. He brought a lot of energy to every single broadcast.

Scott had a very specific way of sharing sports news. He used many fun catchphrases to describe what was happening on the field. One of his most famous words was "Booyah!" He also said things like "As cool as the other side of the pillow." He would use pop culture references to make his stories more exciting. Sometimes he sounded like a preacher or a music artist. He even thought that writing should stay simple and natural. He did not worry about using perfect grammar if it meant sounding real.
