Many animals live in the grass. Small shrimp and crabs hide there. Big turtles and fish eat the plants. It is a busy home for sea life.

The grass also helps the coast. The long leaves slow down big waves. This stops the sand from washing away.

The plants help keep the air clean. They take in bad air from the water. This helps the whole world stay healthy.
