Salonga National Park

life science Maturity 11-13 Next article →

This is a giant forest in Africa. It is the largest one on that land.

Most of the park is reached by river. There are no roads in many parts.

Many animals live in these trees. You can find forest elephants there. There are also many types of monkeys.

Some monkeys are called bonobos.

Many plants need animals to help them. Animals move seeds to new spots. This helps new plants grow.

A special bird lives here too. It is the national bird of the land. It is called a peafowl.

People work hard to keep the forest safe. This helps all the animals stay well.
