Quality (philosophy)

philosophy religion Maturity 13-18 Next article →

A quality is a way to describe things.

It tells us how something looks or feels. A person can be warm or cold. They can even be good or bad.

Some thinkers say qualities belong to the thing itself. A shadow is a different kind of quality. It needs light to show up.

People also use the word to mean how good something is. You might hear of a quality toy. This means the toy is very good.

We use these words to understand our world. It is fun to look for them!
