Tiny parts live in an atom. They stay in layers. Some layers are close to the middle. Some layers are far away. These layers help the atom work. Do you want to learn more?

Atoms have tiny parts called electrons. These parts live in layers. Each layer has a number. We use these numbers to name the layers.

Small atoms have only one layer. Big atoms have more layers. The first layer is close to the middle. It has very little energy.

As the layer number grows, the energy grows. These layers are farther from the middle. The electrons move in these paths.

Each layer can hold a certain amount of electrons. This helps us learn about every atom. It is a very neat system.
