Long ago, people in China shared new ideas.

These ideas are called Neo-Confucianism. They help people act in good ways.

Many thinkers helped grow these ideas. One famous man was named Zhu Xi. He wrote books about how families should act. He taught how to hold weddings and funerals.

These ideas spread to other lands too. They went to Korea and Japan. They also went to Vietnam.

Some people thought the ideas came from within. They believed we know right from wrong at birth. This helped them live with peace.

It was a way to keep old traditions alive. People used these rules to build a good world.
