Matthew Fox

Matthew Fox is a well-known American actor.

He has spent many years performing in television shows and movies. People recognize him for playing many different kinds of characters. He became very famous for his role as Charlie Salinger on the teen drama Party of Five.

Later, he played a doctor named Jack Shephard on the show Lost. This role was a huge part of his career. It earned him many honors, like a Golden Globe nomination and an Emmy nomination.

Acting requires a lot of hard work and change. For the movie Alex Cross in 2012, Fox had to transform his body. He worked to become very muscular and lost most of his body fat. Matthew’s life began in Abington, Pennsylvania. He was born on July 14, 1966, to Loretta and Francis Fox. His family moved to Wyoming when he was only one year old. They lived in Crowheart on the Wind River Indian Reservation. His father raised longhorn cattle and horses. His father also grew barley for Coors beer. Matthew went to Wind River High School before moving to Deerfield Academy. He graduated from Deerfield in 1985.

He went on to attend Columbia University to study economics.

While he was a student there, he played football as a wide receiver. He graduated from Columbia in 1989. In 1992, he married Margherita Ronchi, who is from Italy. They met while he was still a student at the university. The couple has two children together. Matthew also took a break from acting between 2014 and 2021. He used that time to stay close to his family.

Matthew has many interests outside of the acting world. He is a talented photographer. He even took photos of the cast and crew on the set of Lost. He also has a passion for flying airplanes. He owns a small plane called a Bonanza G36. He says that flying makes him feel hyper-prepared. He enjoys the feeling of being up in the sky.
