Massachusetts Bay

geography Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Massachusetts Bay is a big part of the sea. It sits by the coast of Massachusetts. The north side is rocky. The south side is sandy and low. Many small islands sit in the water.

Some parts of the bay are deep. Other parts have many small inlets. These are small areas of water.

People work to keep the water clean. They help the small sea life live there. This keeps the water clear.

In the past, people put things in the deep sea. They put old ships and metal there. Some of these things wash up on the shore.

It is a very busy place for the sea.
