MacDonnell Ranges

geography Maturity 7-9 Next article →

The MacDonnell Ranges are big mountains. They sit in central Australia. They are near a town called Alice Springs.

You can see red rocks there. Many deep gaps sit between the hills. These gaps were made by wind and water.

Three rivers start in these mountains. Some frogs live in the cool rock pools. The pools help the frogs stay alive.

People can walk on a long trail. There is also art on the rocks. It is a very special place to visit.
