Mélissa Theuriau is a prominent French journalist and news anchor. She is known for presenting news stories on television to large audiences. Her career includes roles as a reporter and a presenter for several major networks. She has also served as a co-editor in chief for investigative programs. Her work has made her a well-known figure in the French media landscape.

To build her career, Theuriau completed several levels of specialized education. She first obtained a DUT in News-Communication from the Institut universitaire de technologie Pierre Mendès-France in Grenoble. After this, she earned a master's degree in Audiovisual Journalism. This advanced degree came from the Institute of Communication and Media in Échirolles. These studies prepared her for the technical and editorial demands of television news.

Theuriau's professional journey began with reporting roles in the early 2000s. In 2002, she worked as a reporter for Match TV. By 2003, she became a reporter and anchor for La Chaîne Info. This role helped her become familiar to the general public in France. She later achieved a breakthrough at the news channel LCI and the network TF1. At LCI, she hosted the 6:40 news program, LCI Matin, and a travel show called Voyages.

In 2006, Theuriau took on a significant new role with the Métropole 6 channel. She was appointed as the co-editor in chief and anchor for the weekly magazine show Zone interdite. This program, which means "Forbidden Zone," focuses on investigative reporting. She held this influential position for six years. Her tenure with the show ended on August 29, 2012. On that final day, she presented her last show while barefoot.

Beyond news anchoring, Theuriau has participated in various specialized television programs. She presents Un jour, une Photo on the Paris Première channel. This show explores the stories behind famous and historic photographs. She also hosts Deux, trois jours avec moi. This is a weekly travel program where guests share personal details during a trip. These roles show her versatility as a presenter in different television formats.

In 2007, Theuriau used her platform to support social causes. She helped launch an organization called "La Rose" in March of that year. She worked alongside five other journalists, including Claire Chazal and Laurence Ferrari. This group partnered with UNICEF to support the education of girls. This initiative highlights her involvement in humanitarian efforts through her professional connections.

Throughout her career, Theuriau has also been a subject of popular culture and media attention. In 2006, the Daily Express named her the most beautiful news reporter in the world. The French edition of FHM voted her the most beautiful woman in the world in May 2007. However, she also faced challenges with her public image. In 2010, scam websites used her photograph without permission to promote health treatments and penny auctions. Her lawyers worked to address the unauthorized use of her likeness.

In her personal life, Theuriau married the French-Moroccan comedian and actor Jamel Debbouze. They were engaged in March 2008 and married on May 7, 2008. The couple has two children, a son named Léon born in 2008 and a daughter named Lila born in 2011. In August 2012, a Harris Interactive poll for Gala magazine ranked them among the top ten most popular couples in France. Her life reflects a balance between a high-profile career and her family.
