His art has appeared in technical papers and on the covers of various books and albums. In 1966, his work gained widespread popularity after being featured in the "Mathematical Games" column of Scientific American. He also served as a major inspiration for Douglas Hofstadter’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, "Gödel, Escher, Bach." His work continues to bridge the gap between the beauty of art and the logic of mathematics.
