Some thinkers had a big idea.

They wanted to use science to find truth. They thought ideas must be something we can see. This is called logical positivism.

They believed we can check ideas with our senses. This means using sight or touch. They thought this was the best way to know things.

They did not think some ideas were useful. They left out ideas about gods or art. These ideas could not be proven with science.

Many thinkers met in a group called the Vienna Circle. They lived in Europe a long time ago. Later, they moved to new lands.

Other thinkers began to disagree with them. They found problems with the big idea. Soon, the movement began to fade away. It is interesting to see how ideas change.
