Lewin had a special way of looking at how people behave. He used an idea called force-field analysis to understand situations. He believed every situation has driving forces and hindering forces. Driving forces are helping forces that push toward a goal. Hindering forces are blocking forces that stop progress. By looking at the whole picture, we can see how to make changes happen.

He became a U.S. citizen in 1940. He worked at many great schools like Cornell and MIT. He even worked at Harvard Medical School after World War II.

Lewin's ideas help us understand ourselves today. He believed that both nature and nurture shape our personalities. Nature is what we are born with. Nurture is how our life experiences shape us. He said these two things work together. He also used a formula to show this. The formula is B = ƒ(P, E). This means behavior depends on a person and their environment.
