Saint Nicholas gives gifts to children who are good. Krampus has a different job. He visits children who misbehave. He may carry birch rods to swat them. Some stories say he carries a sack to take children away.

Krampus has a very unique look. He is a man with horns and black hair. He has a long, snake-like tongue. He often has one human foot and one goat foot. He may also carry chains and bells.
