He was known for his loud and fast way of talking. Most people on TV only cheered for the teams. Cosell was different. He wanted to tell the truth. He used facts and deep thought to explain the games. This changed how sports were shown on TV.

Cosell worked on a big show called Monday Night Football. He worked with other men to make it a hit. He even helped make the word "nachos" popular! He also talked about the boxer Muhammad Ali. Cosell was one of the first to use Ali's new name. He stood by Ali during hard times.

Cosell was not always liked by everyone. Some people thought he was too proud. He often argued with others. He even stopped talking about boxing after a hard fight. He said he was disgusted by how it looked. Even with the fights, he stayed a big part of sports history. He was a man who told it like it is.
