The first nine books tell stories of old legends. They talk about gods and giants. Some stories are about a man named Amleth. His tale was like the play Hamlet. The last seven books tell true history. They talk about kings and wars. These parts help us learn about old tribes too. The book tells us about people in Estonia and Latvia. Long ago, the original pages were almost lost. A man named Christiern Pedersen found a copy. He printed the whole book in Paris in 1514.
