The stories are funny and very strange. They use many new and hard words. Rabelais even added many new words to the French language.

The adventures are full of wonder. Pantagruel travels on a long sea voyage. He and his friends look for a Divine Bottle.

On their trip, they meet many odd things. They see a flying pig-monster in the sky. They also visit islands with very fat people.

These stories came from old folk tales. People have shared these giant stories for a long time. Rabelais used these tales to make people laugh. Some people even thought his books were too silly. But his work is still famous today. It shows how much joy a good story can bring.
