The title means "Twilight of the Gods." It is the last part of a big set of stories by Richard Wagner. These stories are called "Der Ring des Nibelungen."

The story comes from Old Norse myths. These myths tell of a war among gods and other beings. This war leads to a world of fire and water. The world is destroyed, but it also begins again.
