Filipino is a special way to talk.

It is the national language of the Philippines. This land has over 7,000 islands. Many different groups live there. They speak 175 living languages!

Long ago, leaders chose Tagalog to help everyone. They wanted a way for all people to join together. This helped people from different islands talk.

Today, Filipino is used in schools and laws. It works alongside English. It is a proud part of life for many people.
