Tiny bits of stuff follow special rules.

Some bits like to have their own space. No two bits can be in the same spot at once. This rule is very important. It helps us understand how metal works. It also helps us understand how stars work. Scientists Enrico Fermi and Paul Dirac found these rules. They found them in 1926. These bits are called fermions. Electrons are a type of these bits. They are very small and important. The world is full of these tiny things!
