Sometimes, directions are opposite. Think of east and west. One goes one way, and the other goes the other. Together, they make one straight line.

Directions can also be parallel. This means they stay on the same path without turning.

We can use math to show direction. In a flat space, we use an angle. An angle is the space between two lines. In a 3D space, we use two angles. We can also use a unit vector. This is a special tool used to show direction. It is made by dividing a vector by its length. We can even use a circle or a sphere to show direction. A point on a sphere can tell us which way to look.
