This was a large monument made of limestone. It sat near a monastery. The work had life-sized figures around its base. These figures were kings and prophets like Moses and David. They held books and scrolls. The top part of the monument was destroyed long ago. This likely happened when a roof fell in.

Sluter also made art for tombs. He carved small figures called pleurants, or mourners.

These figures sit in niches below the tombs. He also made a large doorway with stone groups. One group shows a Madonna and Child. Another shows the Duke and his patron saint. His art was very lifelike. He helped start a new style of realistic art.
