Bob Dylan made a famous music album called Blonde on Blonde. It came out on June 20, 1966. This was one of the first double albums in rock music.

Dylan first tried to record in New York. He worked with his band, the Hawks. These sessions were hard. They only finished one song there. Dylan felt down because they could not get the music right.

To fix this, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee. A producer named Bob Johnston helped them. They used top musicians from Nashville. They also changed how the studio was set up. They removed the walls between players. This made the band sound like they were on a tight stage. It gave the music a special feel.

Some songs on the album are very long. The song "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" lasts over eleven minutes. Critics say the album is great. It has a mix of big music and deep words. It reached number nine on the U.S. charts. Many people call it one of the best albums ever made.
