Bilibili is a large video website in Shanghai, China.

Users can watch many kinds of videos. These include music, dance, and science. People also watch movies and video games. The site is famous for its special comments. These are called danmu, or bullet comments.

Danmu are words that scroll across the screen. They look like a curtain of words. This makes it feel like a game. You can use emojis to show feelings. Some users even use special symbols to warn others. They might use a symbol to show an exciting moment is coming. This is called a high energy alert.

Bilibili started in 2009. A man named Xu Yi wanted a better site for fans. He launched Bilibili in 2010. The name comes from a character in an anime. The site even celebrates this character's birthday every year.

The site has two official mascots. They are named 22 and 33. They won a vote by the community in 2010. Both mascots had the same number of votes. So, the site let them both win.
