Its godowns, which are large storage buildings, are considered the largest in Asia. This growth is linked to its proximity to the Nhava Seva port in Mumbai. Mumbai serves as the financial capital of India. Because of this connection, Bhiwandi is a major contributor to the logistics landscape of the nation. To support this growth, the city is investing in transportation. The Bhiwandi Metro Project, also known as Mumbai Metro line 5, is currently proposed. The corporation reported total revenue receipts of ₹509 crore, which is approximately US$61 million. During that same period, total expenditure was ₹508 crore, or about US$61 million. Tax revenue accounted for roughly 19.3% of the total revenue collected. The corporation also received ₹331 crore in grants during that financial year. These funds allow the administration to manage the city's many industrial and residential needs.
