Battery (tort)

society Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Your body belongs to you. People should not touch you without asking. This is a rule called battery.

Sometimes people touch others on purpose. They might use their hands. They might even use an object. This can be harmful or mean.

It is okay to bump someone by mistake. This happens in a crowd. It is not a battery if it is an accident.

Rules say you can say yes to a touch. But you can also say no. People must respect your space. You have the right to be safe.
