Some people have a big idea about how to live.

This idea is called anarcho-capitalism. It says we do not need a state or a government. Instead, private businesses could provide all services. This includes things like schools, roads, and even the law.

A man named Murray Rothbard helped make this idea popular.

He was an American economist. Rothbard believed that people should own themselves. He also thought people should own their own property. He wanted a world based on free markets. This means people trade with each other by choice.

In this system, people follow the non-aggression principle. This is a rule against using force against others. It means no one should start a fight or steal. Private companies would act like courts or police. They would compete to help people stay safe. Some people look at history to find examples. They point to the American Old West or Medieval Iceland. Other thinkers argue that this idea is not true anarchism. They think it still uses systems that are not fair.
