After the war, different groups had different views of the results. Both Hezbollah and the Israeli government claimed victory. However, the Winograd Commission had a different view. They called the war a missed opportunity for Israel. They noted that the war did not lead to Hezbollah's disarmament. The conflict showed how deeply connected regional history and local groups are.
