In April 2024, a match between Iowa and UConn reached a peak audience of 17 million viewers on ESPN. The 2025 NCAA tournament was also a major success, with 8.5 billion minutes watched. The WNBA continues to grow, with a 13th team scheduled to start in 2025. Furthermore, a new 3-on-3 league called Unrivaled launched in January 2025 to provide more opportunities for players.
