He even invented a device called the logic piano. This was a mechanical computer designed to perform logical tasks. His ability to combine math, logic, and physical science made him a unique figure. Even after his death, his influence continued through his son, H. Stanley Jevons. His son published a large study on the British coal trade in 1915.
