Television connects to many other technological systems. In the 1970s, it became the display for consumer media like Betamax and VHS. It also served as the display for early home computers and video game consoles. Modern sets can play content from USB devices or internet streaming services. They can also connect to other devices wirelessly via transmitter boxes. This evolution shows how the television has moved from a simple broadcast receiver to a central hub for diverse digital media.
