She was first treated at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology. Later, she was moved to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, UK. The world felt a lot of sadness for her. Many people sent support to help her get well. 
After she recovered, Malala became even more active. She and Shiza Shahid started the Malala Fund. This is a group that helps children get an education. She also wrote a famous book called "I Am Malala" in 2013. In 2014, Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize. She shared this prize with Kailash Satyarthi from India. At age 17, she became the youngest person ever to win it. 
Malala has achieved many great things in her life. She studied at Oxford University for three years. She earned a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics in 2020. In 2023, she became an Honorary Fellow at Linacre College at Oxford. She has also been recognized by Time magazine many times. In 2017, she was given honorary Canadian citizenship. Malala continues to be a voice for children everywhere.
