The success of this film allowed him to expand through remakes. He produced the Tamil version, Vasantha Maligai, in 1972. He also produced the Hindi version, Prem Nagar, in 1974. Both remakes were equally successful. This success helped him branch into many other film industries. He eventually produced films in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Oriya, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Assamese, and Punjabi.
