Taylor's personal life was marked by both professional intensity and significant hardship. His health began to fail in 1717 after many years of intense mathematical work. He experienced several personal tragedies involving his family and his marriages. His first wife, Miss Brydges, died during childbirth, and their son did not survive. He later married Sabetta Sawbridge in 1725, but she also passed away during childbirth in 1730. He was left with one surviving daughter named Elizabeth. Taylor died in London in 1731 at the age of 46.
