He did this using a vertical wind tunnel in Milton Keynes. He stayed in the air for over one hour and thirty-six minutes.

He reached an altitude of almost 23,000 feet while enduring extremely low oxygen levels. In 2008, he set a record for the longest continuous indoor freefall.
