There are specific volcanic fields on the western part of the plate called the Older Harrats. Two examples of these fields are Harrat Khaybar and Harrat Rahat. Some volcanic activity still occurs today, especially near the city of Medina. Additionally, there are regular eruptions occurring within the Red Sea itself.

The Arabian plate covers a large area with many different countries and regions. It includes nations such as Bahrain, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. It also contains regions like the Anti-Lebanon Mountains in Lebanon and the Khuzestan province in Iran. The Southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey is also part of this plate. Because of the intense pressure from plate collisions, the region faces certain natural risks. The collision between the Arabian and Eurasian plates is responsible for pushing up the Zagros Mountains. This movement can result in earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanoes. People living in certain areas, such as southeastern Turkey, may experience these events. These natural processes are direct results of the massive plates interacting with one another.
